Located in the extreme north of Tunisia, the Bizerte region forms with its periphery of Cap Blanc the most advanced point of Africa, benefiting from a strategic position in the centre of the Mediterranean. This area of 3,750 km2, with a population of 568,219 inhabitants and a population growth rate of 0.81%, is distinguished by an urbanisation rate of 65.3%. The region is home to an active population of 198,112 people and offers a diversity of landscapes, from the sea to the djebels, hills, passes and forests.
● The industrial network comprises 249 companies with a workforce of 10 employees or more, of which 175 are totally exporting companies.
● Profiting from a significant diversification of sectors such as the agri-food industries, ceramic and glass construction materials, mechanical and metallurgical, textiles and clothing, leather and footwear, as well as the electrical, electronic and household appliances industries.
Its strategic geographical position on the border, favouring the availability of skilled labour. The Bizerte region has a solid infrastructure, covering 208 km of national roads, 403 km of regional roads, 411 km of local roads, and 38 km of highways to facilitate mobility.
The two-line railway network and the six ports (1 for goods, 5 for fishing, 1 marina) contribute to its connectivity with the Tunisian regions and the rest of the world.
Bizerte displays a solid industrial infrastructure with ten existing zones. Three planned zones and two economic activity parks in Bizerte and Menzel Bourguiba. The competitiveness cluster of Bizerte offers a variety of opportunities for agri-food and multi-sector industries.

● In the tourism sector, Bizerte offers an enriching experience with 18 hotels, including 8 classified ones, 3 clubs dedicated to hunting, fishing, and scuba diving, 15 beaches, and the protected Ichkeul International Natural Park, designated as a World Heritage Site.

Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation – APII
Established in 1972, APII is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines. It is responsible for implementing government policy relating to the promotion of the industrial sector and innovation. The APII is the main point of contact for investors regarding the legal constitution of companies and the management of financial and fiscal benefits.

Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency – APIA
APIA is a public institution established in 1983, with the principal mission of promoting private investment in agriculture, fishing and associated services.
APIA services
● Granting financial and fiscal benefits established by the Investment Law No. 2016-71 to promoters of agricultural, fishing, and related services projects, as well as projects involving the primary processing of agricultural and fishing products.
● Identifying investment opportunities and project ideas to be promoted by Tunisian and foreign private operators, thereby contributing to the achievement of national objectives assigned to the agricultural sector.
● Assisting promoters in the preparation of their investment files and providing guidance during the implementation phase of their projects.
Agence Foncière Industrielle – AFI
The Industrial property Agency is a public organisation established in 1973 to strengthen the industrial network and contribute to the economic and social development of Tunisia.
