IFC supports the attraction of FDI in Tunisia

01/12/2023

In order to attract more foreign direct investment to Tunisia, FIPA had the honor of welcoming Ms. Maiko Miyake, Regional Director of consulting services and entrepreneurship support at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) office, accompanied by Mr. Mehdi El Batti, Operations Manager, to discuss the business climate improvement project in its 2nd phase.

During this meeting, which took place on December 1, 2023, several points were raised related to the attractiveness of the Tunisian industrial site and the upward trend in drained investments, a sign of confidence of foreign companies in the national business environment.

In this context, IFC officials recalled their predisposition to continue to support the Tunisian ecosystem in order to consolidate the efforts aimed at attracting more foreign companies through, among other things, the continuation of ongoing economic reforms.

In addition, certain specific actions were on the agenda of the fruitful exchanges carried out during the meeting, including in particular the events that will be (co)organized by FIPA, such as the 4th Edition of the Aerospace Meetings Tunisia 2024 scheduled for April 22-24, 2024 in Tunis or the Tunisia Investment Forum scheduled for mid-June 2024.

The IFC, which is one of FIPA’s long-standing partners, stressed its keen interest in actively participating

the organization of these events in order to contribute to their success and guarantee greater visibility for the Tunisia site.
